MAX Blue, Red lines serve Washington Park directly, with 1,000+ parking spots at nearby TriMet Park & Rides

Go by TriMet to celebrate the start of summer at ZooBrew this weekend!
ZooBrew brings dozens of breweries, cideries and other beverage crafters to the Oregon Zoo from 6-10 p.m. Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6 — along with food carts, live music and more.
The best way to get to the Zoo is to take the MAX Blue Line or Red Line. Trains serve the underground Washington Park MAX Station every 7-8 minutes on average. After a quick elevator ride, you’ll be right outside the Zoo entrance!

Park & Ride
Parking at the Zoo is limited, and visitors must pay for parking. ZooBrew patrons are encouraged to park at a TriMet Park & Ride and ride the MAX Blue and Red lines to Washington Park instead.
Sunset Transit Center, just one station to the west, has more than 600 free parking spots for transit users. These spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may fill up quickly, especially on Saturday.
Other nearby Park & Ride locations on the MAX Blue and Red lines include:
- Beaverton Creek Park & Ride, 2794 SW 153rd Drive
- Elmonica/SW 170th Ave Park & Ride, 1200 SW 170th Ave
- Millikan Way Park & Ride, 14115 SW Millikan Way
Between them, these Park & Rides in Beaverton also have hundreds of parking spots for transit users.
You can also park to catch a different bus or MAX line that connects to the MAX Blue and Red lines. All of TriMet’s MAX lines converge at both Pioneer Courthouse Square and the Rose Quarter Transit Center. However, keep in mind that MAX service in the Portland City Center will be disrupted Saturday evening due to the 2026 CareOregon Grand Floral Starlight Parade.

Riding TriMet
Proof of fare is required when riding TriMet.
Be sure to tap your debit or credit card, smartphone with digital wallet, or Hop Fastpass® at a green Hop reader before you ride MAX. Riders must tap before getting on the elevator at the Washington Park MAX Station, as well as before going down the stairs or elevator to the platform at the Sunset Transit Center. If you’re on the platform but you haven’t tapped, please go back to the surface level and make sure to pay your fare before getting on the train.
Riders age 65 and better, riders with disabilities, riders who are veterans or military service members, and riders who pre-qualify based on income can save with Honored Citizen reduced fare. With Honored Citizen, fares are only half price!
Please be sure to follow TriMet’s Rules for Riding. These rules keep TriMet safe, clean and welcoming for all.
To report a security concern or cleaning issue, call or text 503-238-7433 (RIDE) any time.
