With TriMet’s Day Pass, visit as many bookstores as you’d like for no more than $5.60/day

When TriMet does the driving for you, you can relax and unwind on your way to your next destination. It’s a great time to listen to music on your headphones and catch up on some reading.
From June 5-14, independent bookstores across the Portland metro area invite you to find your next page-turner with Portland Book Week!
Reading is a great way to enjoy your ride on TriMet, any day or every day. Riding TriMet is also a great way to enjoy Portland Book Week! With nearly 80 participating bookstores all over town, TriMet is the convenient, cost-effective way to go.
Choose your destination and plan your trip now at trimet.org, using our flexible trip planner! You can even plan your trip to destinations in Vancouver, as our trip planner now includes transit partners like C-TRAN.
Save money with TriMet
Portland Book Week features fun events and great deals. If you’re looking to save some money, go by TriMet!
Even as fuel prices rise, TriMet’s fare prices have stayed the same. Adult fare is $2.80 to ride for 2½ hours, or $5.60 to ride all day. Youths age 7-17, adults age 65+, people with disabilities, veterans and military service members, and people who pre-qualify based on income for our Honored Citizen reduced fare can save even more.
That’s right: Instead of paying ghastly prices for gas and feeding the Parking Kitty, pay no more than $5.60 a day to ride TriMet anywhere you want. We even have free parking for transit users at TriMet Park & Ride facilities, so leave your car behind and ride around with us!
Be sure to tap your bank card, digital wallet or Hop Fastpass® at the green Hop reader whenever you ride. Hop readers are on board every bus and streetcar, as well as at every MAX station.
Be a savvy rider
Did you know you can track your bus or train at trimet.org?
Our trip planner includes an interactive, real-time map of transit routes and vehicles. You can plan your trip on the go, see when your ride will arrive, and find the right stop to hop off.
Many bus stops and all MAX stations also display real-time arrival information. The next stop is announced and displayed on a digital readerboard on all buses and trains.
Need help? Live, local TriMet Customer Service agents are available to answer your questions from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call or text 503-238-7433 (RIDE) to get in touch, or chat online with TriMet Customer Service during business hours at trimet.org/chat.

We love a good map, and Portland Book Week has a great one! Most participating bookstores are transit-friendly thanks to TriMet and our Hop partners at C-TRAN and the Portland Streetcar.
Book Week wraps up June 13-14 with the Rose City Book & Paper Fair, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland — less than a block from the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave MAX Station on the MAX Blue, Green and Red lines. Plan your trip at trimet.org!
