For one night only — your Portland Trail Blazers ticket will double as TriMet fare

In honor of Earth Month, TriMet and Trail Blazers team up to give fans a ride to ‘Green Game’ April 2

For one game only, TriMet is teaming up with the Portland Trail Blazers and PCL Construction for an unbeatable deal Thursday, April 2.

For up to three hours before and after the Blazers take on the New Orleans Pelicans at Moda Center, anyone with a ticket to the game has a ticket to ride TriMet — for free!

TriMet and the Blazers are joining forces, for the first time ever, for the team’s annual Green Game, sponsored by PCL Construction. This Blazers tradition honors the team’s commitment to sustainability and the livability of our region, just in time for Earth Day.

There’s no better way to show your own commitment than to go by TriMet! Every year, TriMet service prevents more than 30,000 tons of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) in vehicle emissions. When more people ride transit, fewer vehicles are on the road — meaning less pollution and congestion, and safer streets and highways.

Another win! Parking for Blazers games is limited. Instead, with TriMet, you can enjoy a convenient, free ride right to the arena. You won’t even have to pay for parking.

Your ticket to ride

When you’re riding with your ticket to the Green Game on April 2, you don’t have to tap to pay your fare! Just show your game ticket to your bus operator or TriMet Customer Safety Supervisor when asked for proof of fare.

Your game ticket is valid to ride TriMet for up to three hours before tipoff and after the final buzzer.

Remember, this special Blazers ticket deal is for the April 2 game only! This one-time deal is made possible with the support of PCL Construction.

While TriMet is always a great way to get to and from the Rose Quarter, at all other times, fare is required. Pay Adult fare instantly by tapping your bank card, smartphone with digital wallet, or Hop Fastpass® card at the green Hop reader. Be sure to tap when you board the bus or Portland Streetcar, and before you board MAX or WES commuter rail. If you need a Hop card, you can buy one at any MAX station, a participating retailer or the TriMet Customer Support Center at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Learn more at trimet.org/fare.
