There’s no better accompaniment to March’s Portland Jazz Festival than TriMet!

From March 5-14, the Jazz Festival will engage audiences with performances and events all around Portland. While some music festivals draw concertgoers to a single spot on the city map, the Jazz Festival features about 30 venues.

How do you get to all those places? Simple: Go by TriMet.

Just go to trimet.org and enter the venue name or address into our handy trip planner. You’ll see multiple options for how to get there on TriMet, so you can choose the travel plan that’s best for you.

Venues, venues everywhere

The Portland Jazz Festival isn’t just a musical showcase — it’s a showcase of Portland itself.

If you hit different shows during the 10-day festival, chances are you’ll see different sides of the city. Wherever you’re headed, TriMet can get you there and back — saving you money and taking the stress out of travel.

One show you want to see might be at Southwest Portland’s Burlingame Space, home of the Portland Youth Jazz Orchestra. You can get there any day on TriMet’s Line 43-Taylors Ferry/Marquam Hill, which stops less than a block away.

Perhaps another show on your list is at the Rose City Book Pub, on Northeast Fremont Street. Great news: TriMet has everyday bus service on Fremont Street, too. Just take Line 24-Fremont/NW 18th.

The Aladdin Theater in Southeast Portland? TriMet buses stop right outside the theater. You can also take the MAX Orange Line; the Clinton St/SE 12th Ave MAX Station is just a couple blocks to the north.

Mississippi Studios in North Portland? No problem. Line 4-Fessenden provides Frequent Service along North Mississippi Avenue, with buses running right in front of the venue every few minutes for most of the day, every day.

The list goes on — including for the Jazz Festival’s many venues in Downtown Portland. Take the bus or MAX to get there and back, and take a miss on those costly parking fees.

Find your perfect show at pdxjazz.org, then plan your perfect trip at trimet.org. Be sure to set your travel date to see the schedule for that day.
