Crafty Wonderland Holiday Market
Whether it’s exactly what you’re looking for or something you never knew you needed, there’s a good chance you’ll find it at Crafty Wonderland.
This eclectic holiday market packs Hall D at the Oregon Convention Center for a First Pick Party from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, then opens for general admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14. To avoid overcrowding, shoppers receive timed-entry tickets.
The Convention Center is just a couple blocks from the Rose Quarter Transit Center, served by all MAX lines and many bus lines. The MAX Blue, Green and Red lines also stop at the Convention Center MAX Station, for even easier access, and the Portland Streetcar runs right in front of the Convention Center as well. Market organizers recommend taking public transportation due to limited parking, especially since there are multiple events happening at the Convention Center this weekend. Clackamas Town Center
December is a busy month for our shopping malls. Fortunately, thanks to TriMet, you don’t have to race your fellow shoppers for parking spots or stare at tail-lights until your eyes are sore.
The MAX Green Line and several bus lines serve the Clackamas Town Center Transit Center. However, from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 23, buses may be detoured to a temporary stop on Southeast Monterey Avenue and connect with MAX at the SE Fuller Rd MAX Station instead.
You can also leave your car at the TriMet Park & Ride at the SE Fuller Rd MAX Station, and take the bus or MAX Green Line to Clackamas Town Center. If this Park & Ride fills up, find additional parking along the MAX Green Line at the Gateway/SE 99th Ave Transit Center, the SE Holgate Blvd Park & Ride, the SE Main St Park & Ride, and the SE Powell Blvd Park & Ride — or park at the SE Tacoma/Johnson Creek Park & Ride and take Line 34-Linwood/River Rd to Clackamas Town Center on weekdays only.
Washington Square
Skip the traffic, take the bus to Washington Square mall for holiday shopping!
Line 45-Garden Home, Line 56-Scholls Ferry/Marquam Hill, Line 62-Murray Blvd, Line 76-Hall/Greenburg and Line 78-Denney/Kerr Pkwy serve the mall via TriMet’s Washington Square Transit Center. However, to avoid heavy congestion on the peak shopping days of the season, buses may use detour routes around Washington Square from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 23.
While these detours are in place, riders can take a shuttle bus between bus stops on Southwest Hall Boulevard and stops inside the mall area. This helps keep our buses on time, so you can spend your time shopping instead of waiting in traffic.
