Score savings, skip parking and join fellow fans as Rip City welcomes a new season

Rip City, your ride awaits.
With the Trail Blazers’ All-Star point guard Damian Lillard returning to the Moda Center court for the new regular season — tipping off on Wednesday, Oct. 21 — TriMet is eager to help you cheer on the team all season long. So, pull on your favorite jersey! But let TriMet drive and dish for the assist. The Moda Center is served by three MAX lines and eight bus lines, making TriMet the most convenient and cost-effective way to reconnect with the team and your fellow fans. After all, riding with other fans makes the trip part of the fun.
A winning play for your wallet

Save your money for something other than parking. TriMet’s Adult fare is just $2.80 for 2½ hours, with a daily cap of $5.60 when you use the same Hop Fastpass® card or payment method. That covers your ride to the game and home afterward, with transfers along the way if you need to make them.
Meanwhile, parking would cost as much as $40!
If you’re riding with multiple people, just make sure each person is using a different payment device. Youth ages 7–17 pay just $1.40 for 2½ hours or $2.80 for a Day Pass, while children 6 and under ride free.
Pay with a Hop Fastpass® card, contactless credit or debit card or a phone’s mobile wallet. Honored Citizen reduced fares are also available for eligible riders.
Just remember to tap every time you board — even when transferring or after reaching your daily or monthly fare cap. On MAX, tap against a green Hop reader at the station before boarding. On buses, tap as you get on.
Make your game plan
Not only does TriMet save you money on game day, but it also helps you avoid traffic. MAX puts Blazers fans steps from Moda Center, with service to the Rose Quarter Transit Center on the MAX Blue and Red lines and Interstate/Rose Quarter on the MAX Yellow Line.
Before heading out, visit trimet.org to plan your trip to and from the game. Check Service Alerts and give yourself some time to reach your seats before tipoff.
Oct. 29: MAX Yellow Line riders, let buses assist you

Fans attending the Oct. 29 home game should plan for a service disruption on the MAX Yellow Line.
From Oct. 25–31, shuttle buses are replacing MAX Yellow Line trains between Expo Center and Interstate/Rose Quarter while crews make improvements to the track. This is part of a weeklong project to reduce weather-related delays and strengthen the rail system.
MAX Yellow Line riders can board shuttle buses serving the affected stations and ride to Interstate/Rose Quarter, a short walk from Moda Center. Shuttle buses will arrive about every 15 minutes but will have less space on board than trains do.
Allow up to 30 extra minutes for your trip and follow signs directing you to shuttle stops.
The MAX Blue, Green, Orange and Red lines will not affected by this planned work. Regular MAX Yellow Line service is scheduled to resume on Sunday, Nov. 1.
Find shuttle information at trimet.org/improvements and check trimet.org/alerts before traveling.
