Each of the Park & Rides will be closed for one day so crews can perform seal coating and re-striping work
Maintenance crews are scheduled to reseal, re-stripe and fill in the cracks of seven Park & Rides along the MAX Blue, Green and Red lines from Gresham City Hall to Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport in August.
The seal coating work will be performed throughout the month, resulting in each Park & Ride facility being closed for a day. Riders will begin seeing signs at the facilities about a week before they’re closed. Riders will want to check the maintenance schedule, watch for the signs and consider making other parking plans if they use one of the facilities at which the work is taking place.
Seal coating work schedule
The scheduled maintenance work is dependent on the weather. If it rains, the work will be postponed until another time. On the day the work takes place, A-board signs will be onsite alerting customers to park elsewhere. Vehicles that are left in the Park & Ride during the scheduled maintenance will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Less time, more durable pavement
We perform routine maintenance on our Park & Rides every four years. This involves applying a sealant layer to the asphalt, to protect it from water, oils and UV damage. By re-striping the parking areas and crosswalks, we’ll be keeping them safe and maximizing the number of spaces available.
This year, with Park & Rides seeing fewer cars than they have in the past, the work will take less time and be less disruptive. Previously, Park & Rides have been partially closed for two days to accommodate the work, rather than one day of a full closure.
We thank our riders for their understanding as we undertake this maintenance work. For service alert information, go to trimet.org/alerts or sign up for alerts for your bus or MAX line here.
