August figures show 10 percent increase on Frequent Service bus lines

Weekday systemwide ridership on TriMet increased 6.1 percent in August compared to the previous August. Bus ridership saw the greatest gains, with weekday trips up 9.2 percent and Frequent Service bus lines increasing 10.2 percent. The Frequent Service gains are directly tied to TriMet increasing service on these lines last March, and ridership has continued to increase every month since the March service expansion.

Weekday MAX ridership increased 1.7 percent. After a long string of double-digit growth, WES ridership is down slightly. All figures compare August 2014 to August 2013.
