Small segment of northbound SE 17th Avenue closed July 14-16 for light rail construction

Vehicles and buses detoured northbound between Center and Rhine streets; sidewalks remain open

Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project construction in SE Portland will temporarily close northbound SE 17th Avenue from Center Street to Rhine Street July 14-16, with no through access onto westbound Powell Boulevard. Motorists will be detoured to McLoughlin Boulevard at Holgate Boulevard.

Bus lines 17 and 70 will be detoured to Milwaukie Avenue via Center Street. Sidewalks will be open on the west side of 17th Avenue and on the 17th/Powell overcrossing, including connections to Powell Boulevard. Riders should expect minimal delays during this detour.
