TriMet and Zipcar add more transit options for riders

Introducing Zipcars at the Clackamas Town Center Transit Center

Zipcar, a car sharing network, and TriMet have expanded their partnership to include new vehicles at Clackamas Town Center Transit Center (TC). Riders who are Zipcar members can now hop off the train or bus and step right into a Zipcar at four TriMet locations.

The Clackamas TC will house two Zipcars, located near the Quick Drop location in the Park & Ride structure. Riders will see new green ‘Zipcars live here’ signs.

In January, TriMet and Zipcar launched the joint program that added Zipcars to the Beaverton, Gateway and Orenco MAX stations along the Blue, Green, and Red lines.Trips in Zipcars at these transit centers have increased approximately 33 percent month-over-month since the start of the program earlier this year. This new addition makes it even easier for Zipcar members to live and work car-free in the region. More about the program launch at

Starting this week, the Clackamas Transit Center will house two Zipcar vehicles. Transit connections include:

A total of eight Zipcars will offer TriMet riders new options to complete the “last mile” of their trip through Zipcar’s convenient car sharing program. The addition of Zipcars along our MAX Lines makes the service more accessible to the existing car sharing community and encourages the use of public transportation by providing cost effective and convenient travel options for our riders.
