Ride to Race for the Roses

Take TriMet to walk or run in weekend half marathon; Detours and minor delays possible along route

Runners and walkers will take to the street in and around downtown Portland this Sunday for Albertina Kerr’s Race for the Roses half marathon. TriMet riders may experience some delays and fourteen bus routes will be on detours to accommodate racers on Sunday morning, April 13, 2014.

Bus service impacts
From 5:30 a.m. to about 12 p.m., 14 bus lines will be detoured due the event. Those lines are 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 17, 19, 35, 44, 54, 56, 58 and 77.

MAX service impacts
MAX trains may stop briefly at a handful of locations to allow runners to pass by. Riders should plan for minor delays.

Take TriMet to the Race for the Roses
The half marathon, 10k and 5k races all kick off from the Oregon Convention Center. The MAX Blue, Green and Red lines stop at the Convention Center, as does bus Line 6-Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
