Blazers fans, cheer on your team but don’t foul: Fares are required on the MAX

TriMet makes it easy to get to the Moda Center to cheer on the Portland Trail Blazers but make sure you don’t foul on the way by trying to ride without a fare. All four MAX lines, as well as six bus lines, serve the Rose Quarter area and will get you to the fun whether heading to this Sunday’s Fan Fest, the pre-season games that start on Monday, or a regular season game this year.

Last year was the first Blazers season since the elimination of the Free Rail Zone and TriMet staff spent much of the season educating fans. This year, play by the rules and have a valid fare or expect a $175 citation or exclusion from the system.

TriMet Tickets mobile app makes cheering on your team even easier

Save time and use the free TriMet Tickets mobile app to buy and use your fares. Apple and Android users, just go to the iTunes or Google Play app store and download the free app, register your debit/credit card in our secure system and you’re ready to go. Learn more at trimet.org/mobiletickets.

Purchase your mobile tickets ahead of time and then activate them before entering a fare-only platform or before boarding a bus or train. You can buy and use tickets for multiple riders on just one phone. Learn more at trimet.org/mobiletickets.

Don’t watch the clock; by a day pass

Those riding the old school way and purchasing paper tickets, avoid the need for two purchases – one before and one after the game – by buying a day pass. It’s the same price as two 2-hour tickets.
Day Pass Fares

Adults:                        $5
