On the next two Saturdays, November 3 and 10, one lane of SE Powell Blvd eastbound will be closed between 13th and 21st avenues due to Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project construction work.
The lane closure will take place 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on those two days. All driveways and side streets will remain accessible, including the exit to southbound 17th Ave.
Economic benefits of Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project
Construction of the project is nearly 30 percent complete and has generated 2,118 direct jobs and contracted with 293 companies. Overall, the project is creating up to 14,500 direct and indirect jobs during the life of the project.
About the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project
The 7.3-mile project is the region’s sixth MAX construction project to be built and extends from the terminus of the MAX Green and Yellow lines at Portland State University in Downtown Portland to South Waterfront, SE Portland, Milwaukie and North Clackamas County. About the project:
