Time is running out to exchange old tickets

Sixty days left to turn in non-foil, 1-Zone and 2-Zone tickets

Riders have 60 days left to exchange old tickets before we no longer accept them. The tickets can be exchanged at the TriMet Ticket Office at Pioneer Courthouse Square through December 31, 2012. The TriMet Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Upgrading 1-Zone and 2-Zone tickets

In September, TriMet ended the zone system and moved to a simpler “go-anywhere” fare system. Riders now choose between a two-hour ticket and a convenient day pass.

With the change, 1-Zone and 2-Zone tickets were no longer valid without an upgrade. Through December 31, riders can upgrade the leftover zone tickets for 40 cents, either on a bus or at the TriMet Ticket Office.

Exchanging non-foil tickets

December 31 is also the final deadline for trading in any unused non-foil tickets. These are the older tickets that do not have a shiny foil security strip. Those tickets can only be exchanged at the TriMet Ticket Office. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.
