Enjoy the music and fun at the Rose Garden but don’t forget your fare

TriMet delivers riders to big name concerts, Trail Blazer games
Several big name musicians will rock the Rose Garden and the Portland Trail Blazers pre-season gets underway at the arena in the coming weeks. The easiest way to enjoy the events and avoid parking hassles is by taking TriMet to the Rose Quarter.

Getting there

All MAX lines as well as six bus lines serve the Rose Quarter area, providing a convenient way to enjoy the coming events:

  • Country music singer Carrie Underwood – Sunday, Oct. 7
  • Pop star Justin Bieber – Monday, Oct. 8
  • Rock legend Bob Dylan – Monday, Oct. 15
  • Trail Blazers pre-season games: Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 22

Fares required

Riders should remember the Free Rail Zone, which had included the Rose Garden area, no longer exists and a valid fare is required there and throughout the MAX system.

Since most events run longer than two hours, riders should consider buying a day pass, which is the same price as two 2-hour tickets, due to the convenience of just one purchase.

Day Pass Fares
Adults:                        $5
Youth:                         $3.30
Honored citizens:       $2
