Maintenance performed on the MAX alignment near Gateway Transit Center

Work to be done overnight Saturday to Sunday, Sept. 8-9 to lessen impact on riders

TriMet maintenance crews will be working on a track switch on the MAX alignment near the Gateway Transit Center this weekend. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept.8 and should be completed before 4 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.

The crews will be replacing the switch. The mechanism dictates which direction a train can go. This specific switch is used by the MAX Blue, Green and Red lines.

MAX service impacts

  • Late night riders on the Blue, Green and Red lines may experience minor delays as trains slow down going through the Gateway area.
  • Blue Line riders traveling eastbound from the Gateway Transit Center will need to use the center platform.
