MAX trains, buses provide easy access to festivities, Timbers match

It will be a busy weekend in Downtown Portland with Cinco de Mayo events as well as a Timbers game, and the easiest way to get to there is on TriMet. All MAX lines and more than a dozen bus lines serve the downtown area. TriMet will provide extra service on Friday and Saturday evenings as needed.

Service impacts

Expect crowded MAX trains especially on Saturday night as people travel to and from the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Waterfront Park and the Timbers match at JELD-WEN Field. Extra buses and trains will be in service that night.

Sunday morning, the Cinco de Mayo Run events in Downtown Portland will cause minor MAX and bus delays. Twelve buses will also be rerouted during the events. Before you go, check the services alerts page at trimet.org.
